Lilas
Lilas takes a humorous look at the subject of female hormones, adolescence, motherhood, menopause, and principally at PMT – pre menstrual tension. Trophy women, compulsive consumers, divas, delicate, wild savages….
Sensitive days, even more sensitive days. Nothing transcendental, only pure moods. Tensions, hot flushes, shortness of breath, aggressiveness, high libido, low libido…. a rollercoaster of emotions. A Volcano.
Lilas means lilacs in French. Lilac is the colour of feminism. But this isn’t the reason to define this as a piece in defence of all out feminism, but what is true is that five women are the stars in Lilas: three dancers, the director and the composer.
Lilas is the constant colour of the stage without any apparent reason, but the image repeats time and time again. At the end, everything is lilac.
